MANDI
The truly prominent, profoundly critical and incredibly all encompassing Mandi is spread out along the banks of River Beas. A business center and a previous capital of the august express, the legacy town holds its noteworthy appeal and character. The town was established in 1526 AD and at the making of Himachal Pradesh on 15 April, 1948 it caused the locale to headquarter by merger of the regal conditions of Mandi and Suket.
Other than the waterway ghats and among the town's lanes are more than 80 stone constructed sanctuaries that are designed with religious themes and very much etched icons of divine beings and goddesses. Ruler Shiva as the principle god of Bhootnath, Trilokinath, Panchvaktra and other significant sanctuaries has appointed Mandi as the 'Varanasi of the Hills' as 'Choti Kashi'.
